“Jesse” was one of those afghans who, like fine wine, gets better with age. While enjoying a fair amount of success in the showrings throughout his career, he excelled in 1997 at the age of eight. It was during 1997 that he completed the requirements for his International Championship in style, winning three CACIBs and placing in the top five at each of the seven shows he attended. As five of the seven shows were in Finland, his wins earned him enough points to place 7th on the Afghan Male of the Year contest. In addition, Jesse was the top Veteran Male in Finland in both 1997 and 1998, before retiring due to illness.

In addition to his success in the showrings, Jesse shared his dam's penchant for lure coursing by qualifying for the finals at most competitions he attended.
