Be A Pepper winning BIS

1989   Finally at the top. Be A Pepper celebrates as he goes from win to win, including at the Finnish Winner Show, and finally captures the “Afghan of the Year” title. This year, he takes second in the “Sighthound of the Year” competition. His sister Boy What A Girl shows up on the top ten list for the afghans for the first time. Their brother from the repeat breeding, Cosmic Copper, becomes an International champion. Int. Ch. Coastwind Celesta is flown to Spain to be bred and produces an exotic litter, including future champions Choice Made In Spain and Choice Midnight Blue. Choice Hot Stuff is born in a litter by Be A Pepper and Sun Chaser and stays home at the request of Bodil. Daddy Be Cool sires a litter with Ch. Choice Never Say Never, producing a litter including future champion Choice Lucky Strike. Wild West dies.

1990   Do Believe It shows age is no obstacle. The combination of Daddy Be Cool with Choice Starstream produces a litter of exotic dominos and brindles including two future champions, Choice Indiana and Choice Inka. Do Believe It finishes her championship at 10 years of age and her son Be A Pepper is second ranked male in the “Afghan of the Year” competition. Putting On Fire returns home to Maija.

1991  Broad based successes at the shows. Boy What A Girl gains the European Winner title and her younger brother Chabot Napoleon gains his International championship title. The kennel has three dogs among the top five males in the “Afghan of the Year” competition with Be A Pepper second, Daddy Be Cool fourth and newcomer Hot Stuff fifth.

1992  Boy What A Girl lives up to her name. Boy What A Girl continues her winning streak, ending up with the “Afghan of the Year” title at an unprecedented 10 years of age! Hot Stuff takes Europe by storm, winning Best in Group at San Remo (Italy), Best of Breed at Monte Carlo (Monaco) and Best of Opposite Sex in Nice (France), all within the span of a week.
