In 1978 I mated Grandezza to the famous Int. & Nord. Ch. Ely Khyrias Diablo who lived in Sweden. Diablo was by the American Import, Int. & Nord. Ch. Panameric of Stormhill out of Int. & Nord. Ch. El Khama's Nahrimah. From this breeding I got my well known Int. & Nord. Ch. Choice Wild West and his sister, Ch. Choice West Whirlwind. In 1982 1 mated Whirlwind to Ch. Dynasty's Thunder Lightenin and she produced four bitches all of whom became Champions: Int. & Nord. Ch. Choice Star Chaser, Ch. Choice Silver Streak, Ch. Choice Sunny Saunter and Ch. Choice Saucy Suzie. In 1986 Star Chaser was mated to an Australian import, Int. & Nord. Ch. Rahzmundah Psidium and they produced ten puppies. I kept one bitch puppy myself, Ch. Choice Sun Chaser. She was under a year old when she was awarded 3rd Best in Show and 2nd Best in Show at All Breeds shows. One of the boys went to Sweden and became a Champion, later becoming the top Afghan. His name was Ch. Choice Souvenir. From the same litter, Ch. Choice Snowstorm was awarded a C.C. at the tender age of 8 months under your specialist judge Monica Booth at a big Afghan Specialty in Helsinki. Meanwhile, in 1980 I had bought a bitch puppy from the El Khyria kennel in Sweden called El Khyrias Do Believe It. She was by the Hazztafer son, Int. Ch. El Khyrias Possible Winner, out of a bitch who was by El Khyria's Caran Dache, a halfbrother to Diablo's mother, so the breeding fitted in nicely with Wild West's lines. "Linda", as we called Do Believe It, is a black and tan, a beautiful bitch, but she hates moving in the ring. She managed two C.C.s, but obviously needed one more to become a Champion. As a breeding bitch she has been excellent, a lovely mother, and she still enjoys playing with the young dogs - at almost 10 years of age. Linda was bred to Wild West twice and in those litters were: Int. & Nord. Ch. Choice Bea Pepper, SF & S. Ch. Choice Boy What a Girl, SF Ch. Choice Believe in Me, SF Ch. Choice Mr. Chance, S F & S. C4k Choice Chabot Napoleon, S F Ch. Choice Cream Dream and Int. & Nord. Ch. Choice Cosmic Copper. Two of the puppies were exported, two others have two C.C.'s. Pepper, of course, lives with us, his father Wes, and his mother Linda.
